Welcome - CD Collecting Buying or selling

Welcome to my blog about selling and buying music online. Its a starnge way to find myself writing about something I have done for a number of years. Sort of trying to provide a guide to resources and stratagies about where you can go to sell and ultamately make money or just sell to reinvest in titles that you do want.heir I have been in the two camps originally I was buying to sell, then later on I was buying to replace a collection I had lost in a housemove. There are numerous sites you can sell on. I will go through these one by one. Ebay - is by far the best in terms of the sheer diversity of artists and titles they have. What I find is that people make profit through postage rates, even if the item is sold cheaply. What I find intresting is there is many sellers who charge way above the standard charge is 1.26 in the Uk for a single cd. I have seen some buyers outline that its for the costs and fees, but normally these only come out once an item is sold. The Limitation with the service is that you could have unlimited listings and go upto the 1000 mark easily, but with limitations of 10 and then a 100 it is following the amazon example of being a target for people selling high value items. You can understand it from their point of view that they can make 10 pound per transaction than one..Paypal I will taklk about seperately. Amazon Uk - Its really is the best in terms of you can only buy whait is actually in your account. It has the best way of paying for an item, so direct. Very organised operation in terms of fast delivery. The only downside is that it now charges a 1.00 fee roughly for every item you sell. If you are selling online then you would obviously need a business account. To Keep postage costs to a bare minimum. Discogs - Probably the best in terms of marketplace. But a almost non existent moderation in terms of if you have a problem with a buying or selling issue. You tend to get a ticket and not much more response. I have found over many years that its geared up to only support the buyer, not the seller. Potential to be made is profit, but very high risk. Play.com - Not sure if this is still operational but I think this is more geared towards business. Musicstack - Works along similar lines to discogs but is smaller but seems a very friendly community to sell online. Your own site- Sites like Blogger, Wix and others enable checkout using third party. There are so many to list. In the course of the posts I will go through what I have found.

Stratagies and Bulk lots

Hello Welcome to my web page which is interlinked with my Discogs account. This page will show my latest collections I have purchased and will prvide a preview before they get listed on the main site. What I have found with disgogs is that it is building and building. In that the money I have made has been reinvested and along the way I have been finding some absolute Gems. Its really enjoyable doing discogs. There is of course the buyer that is determined to leave negative what ever the issue. But you get that on any site. Over the next few days I will show what turns up and upload pictures
